New!!!Since January 2011, Center for Public Policy has started the implementation of project “Introduction of social intervention programmes to nursery schools”, in Vysočina and Olomouc regions. In January, 2009 Center for Public Policy in cooperation with the Institute of Criminology and Social Prevention in Prague and experts from Finland, Germany, Hungary and UK launched a new training project for pedagogical personell focused on the transfer of good practices of youth crime prevention in schools. The project is funded by the European Social Fund and Czech National Budget.More information could be found on www.prevence.cpvp.cz The project was successfully completed.
The project "Training of Social Services Providers in the Area of Crime Prevention and Social Inclusion of Youth. " was succesfully completed. The project was implemented in partnership with the Institute of Criminology and Social Prevention in Prague and Prof. Timothy Hope, Department of Criminology, Keele University, The project was implemented in two forms – one was implemented in the city of Prague only (this portion of the project was funded by the European Social Fund, the Czech National Budget and the Municipality of Prague). The other was directed to different regions of the Czech Republic (this project was funded by the European Social Fund and the Czech National Budget). There were two main outputs of the project: the first was a publication serving as a text book for participants of the training course and the second was a training session. The main aim of the training was to provide the opportunity for professionals dealing with at risk children to enhance their knowledge about the theory of social crime prevention, program planning, implementation and evaluation. The training courses organized within the framework of the project provided the participants with an exceptional opportunity to learn from local and foreign experts, to discuss the key issues related to the methods and strategies of social intervention, and to exchange experiences with colleagues dealing with the various aspects of the problem of at risk children.
In August, 2009 the Center for Public Policy was accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports as an educational institution to provide training and issue certificates for the accredited courses within the project for pedagogical personell focused on the transfer of good practices of youth crime prevention in schools.
